The plate painting was enjoyed by scores of children at Eglington and Tibercroft primary schools during the Easter break. In addition they took part in many drumming, dance and forensic science activities.
Project organiser Angela Hancock said 'The kids have loved coming up with their own personalised ways of making the Jubilee plates special. Some children decided to use patriotic stripes of red, white and blue, some wanted to use crowns and some wanted to have rainbow colours.'
The children also had a history lesson of what the Jubilee is about and the importance of the Queen in today's society.Back to News & Media
