Among the torchbearers was former Royal Marine Mark Ormrod, 28 who lost both legs and an arm in a landmine blast in Afghanistan. He was told by doctors he would never walk again after injuries sustained in 2007.
Mr Ormrod was able to run part of the relay with the help of prosthetics on day two of the 70 day event which arrived in Plymouth yesterday. He described the moment as a 'humbling experience'.
Schools taking part in our Follow the Flame workshop today include Wynton Primary in Cambridgeshire, Somers Park in Malvern and Bedford Drive in Wirral.
