With everyone feverish for Strictly Come Dancing, Education Group’s Matt Smith twirled in to show Corby his signature moves.

The charity night in October raised an astonishing £58,000 for local charity, Lakelands Hospice.
Following in the patent footsteps of Ed Balls, the ex-Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, Matt took to the dancefloor with his professional dancer, Laura Scriven, to waltz and cha-cha the night away. The couple scored 34 for their show-dance in the theme of George Michael’s Step Outside; a score even EG supporter Craig Revel-Horwood wouldn’t sneer at! Matt’s music degree also paid off with one judge remarking that he had great rhythm.

Paul Marlow, fundraising manager Lakelands Hospice, was full of praise for the 10 dancers and their partners. He said, “Everyone has given hours of their time for free. We are so grateful as the hospice receives no government funding and is reliant on donations. Our work is so important to so many families at desperate times of their lives, thank you to everyone involved in Strictly Corby 2016.”
