Music Workshop

Education Group’s Music Workshops set the stage for children to create their own rhythmic compositions alongside professional orchestral musicians in your primary school.

Children increase their confidence, imagination and control. They explore and enjoy patterns and learn how sounds and silence can create different moods and effects. This workshop integrates performing and composing, meeting targets within Key Stages One and Two of the Music National Curriculum.

Children take part in various musical games and exercises such as body percussion and vocal exercises. We encourage non-music staff to participate, as these activities also act as In Service Training (INSET) for staff.

Our leaders are highly-skilled professional musicians, specifically trained by Education Group, to help them
to pass on their love of music to the next generation. Education Group' Music Workshops offer over 60 different topics from Animals to World War Two.

Starting with a school assembly, the children then create their own rhythmic compositions to go alongside associated music, culminating at the end of the session with a class performance. If your chosen topic is not yet listed, our music specialists will create a bespoke workshop and arrange a music score for your special day.
