Our actor-led sessions transport students to pivotal moments in history, making learning both fun and memorable. Here are some highlights of our unique offerings.

Stone Age Life: Meet the Ancestors

Journey back to the Stone Age and meet an ancestor from just after the Ice Age. In this engaging workshop, children will learn about the hunter-gatherer lifestyle, explore the tools made, and discover the animals hunted for survival. Our ancestor will explain the diverse foodstuffs gathered for the tribe and discuss the other human groups living alongside them. This hands-on experience offers a fascinating glimpse into early human life, ensuring students walk away with a vivid understanding of our ancient past.

World War I and II: Stories from the Trenches

Experience the life of a soldier during the Great War with our WWI - A Soldier's Tale workshop. Our soldier, Bert, shares his recruitment story, training experiences, and daily routines in the trenches. Children will handle replica equipment, participate in drills, and end the session with a sing-song and letters from home, providing a heartfelt connection to the past.

For a deep dive into World War II, join WWII - A Tale of Sacrifice. Private Samuel Barter shares the daily life of a conscripted soldier, the hardships of the front line, and the resilience during the Blitz. Students will engage in role-plays, explore period artefacts, and learn songs that lifted wartime spirits. This workshop is a powerful way to ensure history is never forgotten.
