WWII - A Tale of Sacrifice

WWII - A Tale of Sacrifice

Bring history to life

Join us as we remember the people who served and fought in the Second World War.

Our soldier, Private Samuel Barter, will enable your class to discover what everyday life was like for a conscripted soldier. They will learn about life on the front line, act out daily routines and get to see and feel artefacts from the period. From the code-breaking women of Bletchley Park to the fighting Infantry soldiers both young and old from Britain and across the Commonwealth, children hear some of the individual stories of courage and sacrifice from those involved. They will learn what life was like during the Blitz and how children like them would have been evacuated to the countryside.

This is an interactive workshop led by a professional actor who brings history to life. As well as taking part in role-plays and listening to stories, the children learn some songs that kept the spirit of wartime Britain alive.

This is a unique way for your class to never forget.
